Japanese company, Scandinavia Service in Tokyo is looking for interns to join our team. We have 3 internship cycles with availability during each cycle. We encourage you to apply during the cycle that best fits your schedule, and clearly indicate your availability on your internship application.

Internship Cycles

Please apply to the cycle that best fits your schedule.

• Interns must apply at least 6 months before interested cycle.
• Fall or Spring interns must commit to at least 20 hours a week while summer interns must commit to working full time. (6 hours, 5 days a week)
• Fall or Spring interns must commit to roughly 5 months while summer interns must commit to working at least 2 months.

What will I Do?

Communication
You will be working alongside the marketing department with focus on promotion and customer relations. You will have the opportunity to work in a Japanese company with Swedish morals to gain hands-on, real-world experience focusing on business in the Japanese environment.

We are looking for candidates that encompass professionalism and resourcefulness, with strong personal motivation and the ability to work both independently and in group settings. Strong candidates will also possess problem solving skills and solid analytical skills.

A relevant major such as Economics, International Relations, Political Science is preferred since candidates are preferred to have a high level of proficiency in verbal and written English and Japanese. Priority will be given to candidates that can commit for longer periods of time, and more hours per week.

Esthetician
You will be working alongside our estheticians with focus on providing treatments, retailing products and customer service. You will have the opportunity to work in a Japanese company with Swedish morals to gain hands-on, real-world experience focusing on the beauty industry in a Japanese environment.

We are looking for candidates that encompass professionalism and resourcefulness, with strong personal motivation and the ability to work both independently and in group settings. Strong candidates will also possess problem solving skills and solid analytical skills.

A relevant major such as massage and/or facial estheticians is preferred and candidates are preferred to have a high level of proficiency in verbal and written English and/or Japanese. Priority will be given to candidates that can commit for longer periods of time, and more hours per week.

Requirements

• Applicants must be enrolled in an academic program during the full period of their internship or recently graduated
• Student must be interested in both languages (English and Japanese)
• Student must be able to commit 20 hours a week for roughly 5 months during Fall/Spring cycles and work full time during the Summer cycle (exceptions made for the Fall/Spring cycles)
• Upon selection, students must be able to pass a internship visa in order to work at Scandinavia Service
